About Us
Gourmet Bake Shop opened its doors on October 7th 1991. Joe and Judy Gifoli purchased the bakery from Saccente and Sons, who operated the business from 1984-1990. Gourmet bakery was originally established when the property was built in the 1940’s, and had several different owners since then. The business evolved and grew over the years, with Joe gradually building and improving the cake business. The one thing that has not changed over the years is Gourmet bakery's commitment to providing the best quality baked goods possible, at reasonable prices.
The bakery is a strong supporter of the community and throughout the year, donates products to various religious groups and civic associations. Gourmet bakery is a member of the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce.
We completed a major expansion and renovation to the bakery in October 2013. We look forward to many more years of serving the New Hyde Park community.
